MOVIE STUDIO PLATINUM 12 ONLY USING AUDIO MOVIE
This is a completely undocumented feature of Movie Studio but it definitely works. As with Vegas, you can move the edits to fine tune the cut. If you now play the timeline, you can record the multicam cut on the timeline and play it back (Cntrl Shift D to revert to normal preview). I've got four shots working together but my laptop gets a bit flaky. Now you get a multicam split window as the preview and you can switch between shots using the number keys. Select the track and hit Ctrl + Shift + D. All the shots now sit on one track, layered as takes. In the pop up window select 'Add as Takes'. Right click them and drag to the timeline. Edit shots in the trimmer so that the start points match. This is what I did: Import shots that have matching audio into Project Media window. I'm currently editing a music video (lip synced to playback) and discovered by accident that the Vegas multicam feature can be used in Movie Studio Platinum 12 with some limitations.
